COACH'S TAKE

"We started off slow, and I think that was their plan to slow us down and stop our transition game. We talked about it at halftime. We told them we had to move the ball when we get it and take advantage of the opportunities and any fast break opportunities.  And right out of the gate, sophomore Jake Drexl really changed the face of the game in the second half, winning faceoffs and helping us get some transition goals.  We just put it together in the second half." - Montville head coach Rick Debonta

THEY SAID IT

"In the second half, we really stepped it up and put them away." - Brian McCormack (2 goals and 5 assists)

"I think everyone started off slow. We came out and pumped in a bunch of goals in the second half. Jake Drexl did an amazing job on faceoffs. The fast break was key in the second half." - Jake Hanson (scored 5 goals and had 1 assist)

"Coach got on us at halftime and we decided we were going to play the way we know how to play.  So we came out and started putting in fast break goals right away and everything started to click." - Ryan O'Lear (5 goals and 4 assists)

UP NEXT - The Mustangs will face Wayne Hills at home Thursday at 4 p.m.
