A four-goal effort by Ryan O’Lear piloted the Montville ice hockey team to its fifth win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Parsippany Hills on Monday.
Shawn Rose got the Vikings on the board early in the first period before O’Lear -who scored at least one goal in each period- landed his first of the day with just under four minutes remaining in the period (assisted by Kevin Thornton and Connor Devereux.)
The second period saw O’Lear score twice, the first a goal assisted by Nick Arlotta and Vinnie Arlotta with with 7:48 remaining, and the second a power play goal with 20 seconds remaining, surging Montville ahead, 3-1.

But O’Lear wasn’t done yet, as he scored his fourth goal in the final frame (assisted by Thornton) with just under nine minutes remaining, before Arlotta secured the Mustang win with a shorthanded goal at the 1:19 mark.
Montville goalie Andrew Irizarry stopped 12 shots and Brian Mitchell stopped 24 for Par Hills (2-10).
