Sen. Pennacchio Visits Cedar Hill in Montville
Fourth-graders participate in legislative lecture.
Sen. Joe Pennacchio (R - New Jersey's 26th Legislative District) recently met with fourth grade students at Cedar Hill Elementary School in Montville Township, NJ.
The senator spoke to the students about legislation, and illustrated how a bill becomes a law by asking the students to propose and implement an imaginary law which would forbid homework.
“The children were captivated as they answered his questions,” said teacher, Frances Work. “He took a lot of time explaining the steps for a bill to become a law."
