St. Pius X School's First Musical 'Amazes'

More than 60 students participated in the school's musical production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

St. Pius X School in Montville hosted its first musical production – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – last Friday and Saturday, February 27 and 28.

Led by Alexandra Carroll, Director and Paul J. Carroll, Musical Director/Conductor, more than 60 students participated in the performance. “We feel so blessed to be working with such a wonderful group of students, teachers and their families,” stated Alexandra Carroll, Director. “The success of this production is strongly rooted in the overwhelming number of volunteers that have helped in making this musical possible at St. Pius X School. We are happy to be able to encourage and support the arts in a school environment where students have the opportunity to share their talents with others.”

The Carroll husband and wife duo have been leading the school’s Music Department for the last two years. Alexandra Carroll chose Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for because it is based on a biblical story, which seemed fitting for a Catholic school’s first musical. The proceeds from the event will fund additional musical programs at the school.
