Teen Charged With Death by Auto in Double Fatal Crash Pleads Not Guilty
Next court hearing set for Oct. 6, report says.

A Randolph teen charged with two counts of death by auto and one count of assault by auto after crashing a car and killing two friends in July has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
According to nj.com, the 17-year-old, who will remain unidentified because he is a juvenile, entered the plea through his attorney in Family Division court in Morristown Wednesday.
Judge Catherine Enright said the teen can continue going to school, must continue therapy, and undergo a substance evaluation as well as not drive, the report said.

The teen is accused of crashing his car on the afternoon of Saturday, July 26 with three friends inside. As a result of the crash, two teens who were backseat passengers, Jack Timmerman and Calvin Verduga, were killed.
A third teen, sitting in the passenger seat, was injured and taken to the hospital.

The report said the teen driver received six motor vehicle summons as a result of the crash as well.
The next court date is scheduled for Oct. 6.
