Teresa Giudice's Attempt To Contest Foreclosure On Montville Mansion Rejected, Report Says

Joe Giudice, couple's four daughters continue to live in the house while Teresa serves a 15-month jail term on fraud and conspiracy charges.

A Superior Court judge has rejected Joe and Teresa Giudice’s attempt to contest foreclosure on their Montville home and granted summary judgement in favor of the mortgage holder, the Community Bank of Bergen County, NJ.com reported.

Judge Stephen C. Hansbury wrote that the Giudices’ defense has “no basis in fact or law” and is only meant to “delay the proceedings,” the report states.

Lawyers for the Community Bank of Bergen County filed a request for final judgement on the matter, which would start the process for a sheriff’s sale, which could be months away, though, according to the report.

The bank claimed that the couple defaulted on their mortgage by failing to pay their nearly $10,700 monthly payment, but they can still make their loan current and “cure” the default until a final judgement is entered, the report states.

The couple’s Manakawkin foreclosed house was sold back to the bank for $100 at an Ocean County sheriff’s sale in August, the report states.
