X Factor: Emily Michalak Sings With InTENsity
Judges put the 13-year-old Montville resident in a group of 10 performers and will decide Tuesday night if they advance.

Montville resident Emily Michalak, 13, is hoping her lucky scrunchy and propel her to the $5 million top prize on Fox's "The X Factor."
But if she does advance on the talent search show, it seems she'll be splitting the prize with nine other contestants.
The judges—Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Antonio "L.A." Reid and Nicole Scherzinger—have put Emily in a group with other young performers ages 12 to 17 who originally auditioned for the show as solo artists.

The judges are expected to determine which 16 of the 32 remaining acts will advance during Tuesday's show, scheduled to air at 8 p.m.
The new group of 10, called InTENsity, performed for Abdul and special guest judge Pharrell Williams at Abdul's house in Santa Barbara, Calif., in an episode that aired Sunday. They performed a mashup of "That's Not My Name" by The Ting Tings and "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oats. Some viewers said they were fresh, sassy and reminiscent of "Glee" and "High School Musical."
