Moorestown Theater Company Presents The Burlington County Premiere Of "Xanadu JR."!

It’s time to find those leg-warmers for the Moorestown Theater Company's next ‘Opening Night’!

MTC’s ‘Burlington County Premiere’ of “Xanadu JR.” opens Thursday, May 7 at 7 PM at First Methodist Church!

Performance dates and times for MTC’s 11^th ‘Spring Stage’ production are:

- Saturday, May 9 @ 7 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

- Thursday, May 14 @ 7 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

- Friday, May 15 @ 7 PM (‘Black’ Cast)

- Saturday, May 16 @ 7 PM (‘Black’ Cast)

- Sunday, May 17 @ 2 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

All performances are at MTC's Theater in First Methodist Church at 446 E. Camden Avenue (but it's easier to enter the parking lot from Kings Highway or Pleasant Valley Avenue).

Audience Members of a certain age will know most, if not all, of the great songs that appear in this musical version of the 1980 Hollywood movie that starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly (in his last movie role).Familiar songs in this musical include:  “I’m Alive”, “Magic”, “Evil Woman”, “Suddenly”, “Strange Magic”, “All Over The World”, “Don’t Walk Away”, “Have You Never Been Mellow”, and, of course, the title song, with most of them originally performed by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)!

Reserved-seat tickets for this story about Mount Olympus Gods and California Beachgoers are available at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org ($18 and $13) or at the door ($20 and $15).  Tickets are available on line until three hours before ‘curtain time’, but they will still be available at the door starting one hour before ‘curtain time’.  The 28-member Cast consists of High School and Middle School students.

The “Xanadu JR.” Creative Team includes: Producer and Director Mark Morgan, Producer and Vocal Director Carol Ann Murray, Choreographer Anastasia Korbal, Costume Designer Thom Sirkot, Props Designer Amy Evangelisto, Tech Director Ricky Conway, Production Stage Manager Tori Wakefield, Back Stage Manager John Wells, and Assistant Producer Annette De Rosa.
