4 Charged In Killing Of Teen In NJ Walmart Parking Lot: Report

Three people are facing first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of 17-year-old Albert Williams.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Four people are facing murder and other charges in connection with the October 2021 shooting death of a 17-year-old in the parking lot of a Burlington County Walmart, according to a report.

On Oct. 7, Dion E. Williams Sr., 44, and his son, Albert, were shot outside Walmart on Route 541, according to the Burlington Daily Voice. Albert, who was shot in the chest, later died from his injuries, the Daily Voice reported. Williams was treated and released at a nearby hospital.

Four people face a combined 14 charges: Tarik Jenkins, 25, of Pemberton Township; Jayviyohn J. Earley, 19; Kweli L. McCants, 20; and Kayhree Simmons, 19, all of Willingboro.

A grand jury indicted Earley, Simmons and Jenkins on first-degree murder charges and weapons offenses. All four defendants were indicted for second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery. The four men face a variety of other charges, according to the Daily Voice.
