7 More Coronavirus-Related Deaths In Moorestown
On Tuesday, county officials reported the most coronavirus-related deaths in one day in Moorestown since the coronavirus pandemic began.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Seven Moorestown residents were among 16 new deaths related to the new coronavirus announced in Burlington County on Tuesday. It is the single highest death total related to the coronavirus reported in Moorestown in a single day since the pandemic began, and it raised the coronavirus death toll to 23 in the township.
The new deaths involved:
- A 68-year-old man;
- A 91-year-old man;
- A 97-year-old man;
- A 79-year-old woman;
- A 73-year-old woman;
- A 77-year-old woman; and
- A 74-year-old man.
Previously reported coronavirus deaths in Moorestown included an 89-year-old woman, an 84-year-old woman, an 82-year-old man, an 86-year-old man, an 88-year-old man, an 84-year-old woman, a 93-year-old-man, a 73-year-old-man, an 87-year-old man, a 97-year-old woman, a 76-year-old man, an 86-year-old woman, an 85-year-old woman and a 93-year-old woman. Another 18 new confirmed positive cases of the coronavirus were also reported in Moorestown on Tuesday. The total number of coronavirus cases in Moorestown is now 184, according to numbers provided by county officials Tuesday night. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases.

In addition to the 16 new deaths countywide, there were another 93 positive cases of the coronavirus reported in Burlington County. As of Tuesday night, there were 3,101 cases of coronavirus in Burlington County, with 169 deaths.
Once again, county officials cautioned that they believe the numbers may be underreported due to state database issues. Those issues are expected to be resolved this week.
On Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy, speaking during a news conference, said there were 2,494 new coronavirus cases and 334 more deaths across New Jersey.
