Additional Closure On Main Street Set For This Week In Moorestown
In addition to ongoing utility work, a transformer will be removed on Main Street in Moorestown this week.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — In addition to the road closure for utility work on Main Street that began on Monday, an additional road closure will be in effect on Main Street on Wednesday, Moorestown police said Tuesday morning.
Main Street eastbound will be closed between Church and High streets from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to allow for the removal of a transformer. Detour routes have been posted. Drivers should use alternate routes to avoid traffic delays.
Police previously announced that Main Street west would be closed at Chester Avenue and Mill Street for PSE&G utility work. That work began on Monday, and will take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., until the completion of the project, weather permitting.

No parking will be allowed on either side of the street in the construction area in the area of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.

Main Street eastbound will be open and channeled to proceed along the shoulder/parking spaces in the construction zone. Officers will be on location to assist with traffic. Drivers should expect traffic delays, and use alternate routes.
