Ambulance Crashes While Taking Patient To Hospital In South Jersey: Officials

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — An America Emergency Squad ambulance was involved in a crash on Monday, the agency said.

EMTs were taking a patient to a hospital when the ambulance was involved in a collision with another vehicle at Monmouth Road and Route 206.

Two EMTs and an EMT student who were inside, the patient, and the driver of the other vehicle were all taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

The two EMTs and EMT student have been released from the hospital, Chief of EMS Tim Young confirmed to Patch.

The status of the others is unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is still under review.
