MOORESTOWN, NJ — Drivers traveling down Main Street will see a major traffic shift through Friday as roadwork is done in the area.
Only the westbound lane will be accessible between Chester and Church Street. All eastbound traffic is being diverted.
Drivers looking to go east should turn right at Church Street towards Route 38 before getting back on Main Street at Mount Laurel Road.
Pedestrians will still be able to access Main Street during this period, township officials said.
Beginning on Tuesday, daytime roadwork will shift to begin at 9 a.m. in order to help with morning school drop-offs.
Through traffic should avoid the downtown area.
Alternate routes via Route 38, New Albany Road, or other streets are strongly suggested.
Should any business or residents have their water supply shut off due to work in the area, those impacted will receive a 48-hour notice, the township said.
The periods without water are anticipated to last no longer than two hours.
