Man Flown To Hospital After Motorcycle Crash In South Jersey: Authorities

Another person was also hurt along Route 70.

MEDFORD, NJ — A 28-year-old man was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital after a motorcycle crash along Route 70 on Tuesday, the Medford Township Police Department said.

At around 3:15 p.m., officers were joined by multiple fire and EMS departments and Virtua Health paramedics as they responded to a report of a collision.

Michele Manning, 55, of Medford, was making a left turn onto Eugenia Drive from Route 70.

Michael Herbert, 28, of Medford, was driving his bike and "improperly passing" drivers, according to authorities, along the shoulder of Route 70.

Herbert hit the side of Manning's car and left her with minor injuries.

Herbert was flown to Cooper with serious injuries.

An area of Route 70 was closed for a long period of time while crews worked the site.

The crash is still under review.
