Family Fun, the Camden Riversharks, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders and more highlight opening weekend at New Jersey’s first health insurance retail center
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey will celebrate the Grand Opening of Horizon Connect, New Jersey’s first health insurance retail center on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22. Located in the East Gate Square Shopping Center in Moorestown (1680 Nixon Drive), the retail center will allow customers to receive personalized attention to purchase insurance coverage, find answers to their insurance questions, learn more about their benefits, and experience health insurance in a brand new way.
The activities will culminate a week in which Horizon BCBSNJ has introduced Horizon Connect to the local community. All week, Horizon BCBSNJ street teams have been performing “random acts of caring,” such as assisting local residents load bags of groceries into their car, hold a door, or walk across a busy road. With each neighborly act, the team has extended invitations to the grand opening of Horizon Connect.

“Horizon Connect will provide residents with a new experience in health insurance,” said Joseph Albano, Vice President of Consumer & Senior Markets at Horizon BCBSNJ. “We’re excited about serving the community and hope that people will join us for the grand opening, then come back to find out why more New Jersey residents choose Horizon for all their health insurance needs,” he said.
On Friday and Saturday, the following grand opening activities are scheduled:

Friday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- BMI screening, health trivia games and the spin wheel

Saturday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- 94 WIP Sports Radio live remote from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. hosted by Eagles great Ike Reese
- Eagles Cheerleaders
- Face painting and balloon artist
- BMI screening, health trivia and the spin wheel
- Special prizes and giveaways
When members and customers visit Horizon Connect, they will find:
- Kiosks where they can work with agents to access claim and benefit information
- Touch screens loaded with health insurance and health and wellness information
- A wellness station where they can check their blood pressure and get instant BMI readouts
- Private rooms where they can meet one-on-one with Horizon Connect agents
- A multi-purpose area where they can attend informative seminars on health and insurance topics
Horizon Connect will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Saturday.
