Liz Thomas of Thomas/Boyd Communications Named Chair of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Board of Trustees

Liz Thomas, co-founder and CEO of Thomas/Boyd Communications, has been named chair of the Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Board of Trustees effective January
1, announced Samaritan President/CEO Mary Ann Boccolini.  Liz joined the all-volunteer board in 2008 as Vice-Chair and has served as a member of the executive committee since 2011. She was introduced to Boccolini through a business colleague and became immediately immersed in numerous aspects of the non-profit organization that provides palliative medical services and hospice care as well as geriatric care management and grief support counseling in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer and Atlantic Counties.

“Samaritan has been synonymous with quality care since its founding in 1980 as the first hospice to serve southern New Jersey,” said Thomas. “Samaritan’s recent expansion into non-hospice palliative medicine and senior consultative services has extended its reach into the community during a critical time as our nation grapples with how best to meet all its citizens’ healthcare needs in an expert, humane and affordable way. I am thrilled to be in a leadership position at this time of one of our region’s premier not-for-profit organizations.”
