Red Dragon Canoe Club

Mansion tours and concessions start at 6:00 PM/ Music starts at 7:00 PM. The Shipman Mansion at the Red Dragon Canoe Club "Summer Concert" series, is in partnership with Edgewater Park Township. On Wednesday, July 22 Norman Taylor and BlueSoul will bring their acoustic blues &amp; soul to the Shipman Mansion! This free performance will start at 7:00 on the lawn of the Shipman Mansion at the Red Dragon Canoe Club, 221 Edgewater Ave., Edgewater Park, NJ 08010.NEW THIS YEAR. We will be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to “Meals of Love” at the Beverly Methodist Church. The collection box is next to the membership tent. COME EARLY! Starting at 6:00 PM tours of the Shipman Mansion as well as refreshments including hot dogs, hamburgers, and other favorites. Lawn games and fun for the kids, too! <a href="https://www.facebook.com/tntcycleclub/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">TnT Cycling</a> Club, a local Burlington County bike club, in partnership with <a href="https://www.spellboundcentury.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Spellbound Community Giving Corp</a> (Mount Holly) and <a href="https://twp.mountholly.nj.us/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mount Holly Township</a> will be hosting their Annual Spellbound Century&nbsp;road bike event on Saturday, July 25 in Mount Holly, NJ. This year’s ride starts and ends in historic Mount Holly, NJ, the county seat of Burlington County, and takes riders through a variety of local historic towns and by farms and scenic areas. 
The Spellbound Century, the area’s largest summer cycling event, has become the premier charity summer event in South Jersey – with more than $600,000 raised to support a variety of local nonprofit organizations, projects and community initiatives over the past eleven years. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Mount Holly’s <a href="https://brainerd.mtholly.k12.nj.us/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">John Brainerd Elementary School</a>, <a href="https://mainstreetmountholly.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Main Street Mount Holly</a> and the <a href="https://www.cherryhillfreeclinic.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Cherry Hill Free Clinic</a>.
In 2026, riders have the option of participating in a family-friendly 25-mile course or more challenging 45-, 63- or 100-mile ride. Check-in and start times* vary for each of the routes:
<ul><li>100-mile century ride – check-in begins at 6 a.m., ride start between 6:30-6:45 a.m.</li></ul>
<ul><li>63-mile ride – check-in begins at 7 a.m., ride start at 7:30-7:45 a.m.</li></ul>
<ul><li>45-mile ride – check-in begins at 8 a.m., ride start at 8:30-8:45 a.m.</li></ul>
<ul><li>25-mile ride – check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., ride starts at 9:15-9:30 a.m.</li></ul>
*NOTE: All check-in and start times are subject to change – event organizers may adjust start times earlier to avoid intense mid-day summer heat. Riders will be provided with a formal itinerary prior to the event day, which will list finalized/set check-in and start times. 
All of this year’s routes begin and end in Downtown Mount Holly at the MHMUA Parking Lot – located at 1 Park Drive, at the corner of Washington Street and Park Drive by the Mount Holly Township Municipal Building (GPS Address: Burlington County Court House, Rancocas Rd, Mount Holly, NJ 08060). Participants are expected to have completed their rides and returned to Downtown Mount Holly by 4 p.m. NOTE: Riders can take advantage of access to ample free public parking spaces located off Rancocas Road.

To highlight local, “Jersey Fresh” produce and farmers, the event will also have fully-stocked planned rest stops at local winery and farm markets along the routes where riders may purchase their own wine fruits, vegetables, pies or other goods and have their purchases transported to the end of the ride for pick-up. This year’s stops include: Specca Pick Your Own Farm (Bordentown), Mr. McGregor’s Garden Farm (Jobstown), Rancocas Creek Farm (Southampton) and Laurita’s Winery (New Egypt). 
At the completion of the ride, riders will also enjoy a post-ride celebration that includes a complimentary pizza and hot dog lunch, a pint of beer from Spellbound Brewing and water ice from Vincent’s Homemade Ice Cream. Additionally, riders can enjoy a live performance by Modern Mojo and a variety of local vendors and merchants with goods for purchase at the celebration.

No one should have to navigate grief alone. <a href="https://www.samaritannj.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Samaritan</a> is offering a new, free grief support group called Samaritan Mindful Crafting – combining bereavement support with mindfulness and crafting in a safe, supportive environment. During each of these one-time sessions, individuals will be invited to come together to craft, socialize with others, and discuss grief and loss openly with one another. This group is open to individuals of all ages, and will be led by Samaritan’s professional bereavement specialists in-person at Samaritan’s headquarters in Mt.
