Chesterbrook Academy Preschool Celebrates National Doctors’ Day

Chesterbrook Academy received a visit from Rowan University medical students, who taught preschoolers about what doctors do

On March 29, Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Moorestown hosted medical students from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in honor of National Doctors’ Day. During the visit, the medical students met with Chesterbrook Academy’s intermediate and Pre-K classes, talked about how to become a doctor, read “Doc McStuffins” stories to the classes and gave several demonstrations of the equipment that doctors use, including stethoscopes to listen to heartbeats, sphygmomanometers to measure blood pressure, and eye charts. Through this experience, students learned about what doctors do and how important they are in keeping people healthy.
