Child Charged In Connection With Car Theft Ring In South Jersey, Police Say

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — A minor was charged in connection with a multi-county operation involving multiple stolen vehicles, the Evesham Police Department said.

The child was charged with third-degree receiving a stolen vehicle.

On July 22, officers were joined by other regional departments and New Jersey State Police as they carried out a search warrant at a home along Sheridan Street in the City of Camden.

The warrant came after the theft of a BMW from the Willow Ridge area of Marlton on June 30.

This burglary is part of a wider net of July car thefts in Mount Laurel, Medford Township, and Medford Lakes, officials added.

Authorities were able to find evidence at the home that connected the individual to the case.

The minor arrived at the Willow Ridge theft location in a stolen Audi with other unidentified suspects.
