NJ Corrections Officer Had Sexual Relationship With Prisoner: DOJ

Cell phones snuck into jail were used to send photos and messages back and forth.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A corrections officer admitted that she had a sexual relationship with a prisoner at Fort Dix, the United States Department of Justice said.

Jordan Pensak, 27, of Middlesex County, pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of an individual in federal custody.

In January, she and the man had sex as part of a consensual relationship.

They also sent sexually graphic photos and messages to each other over social media and other applications. They were able to do this with the help of two contraband cell phones that he had while in jail, authorities said.

Pensak also admitted to the relationship over messages with the man's family and others.

During one of these conversations, she raised concerns that she might be pregnant with his child, according to officials.

Pensak faces a maximum of 15 years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2027.
