MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will discuss the appointment of a redevelopment planner for the Moorestown Mall Monday night.

The discussion will take place as part of a non-consent agenda resolution after the mall was deemed an area in need of redevelopment last month.

The designation means tax breaks are available to owner Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) and any other entity looking to develop on the site. Read more here: Moorestown Mall Deemed Area In Need Of Redevelopment

There will also be a non-consent agenda resolution authorizing the resolution of a memorandum of understanding between the township and Walters-Cornerstone Development for the development of affordable housing at 200 Hartford Road.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m., and it will be held virtually. Members of the public can participate in the meeting just the same as if at an in-person meeting. The Mayor will open the floor for public participation in accordance with normal protocol.
