Republicans retained both seats, meaning there are still four Republicans and one Democrat on Council.

A bit of uncertainty hangs over the Board of Education race, in which seven candidates ran for three, three-year seats.

Caryn Shaw was the leading vote-getter, collecting 20 percent of the vote. She was the only candidate to collect over 2,000 votes, as she collected 2,288 votes. Peter Palko collected 16 percent of the votes, with 1,883 voters casting their ballots in his favor.

Two more candidates garnered 14 percent of the votes each, and another two collected 13 percent.

Andrew Roberts and Ann Marie Casinelli each collected 14 percent, with Roberts collecting 1,579 votes and Casinelli winning 1,568 votes.

Jack Lance had 1,173 votes, accounting for 10 percent of the total.

Seats belonging to Board President Don Mishler and Board Members A. Leigh Powell and Christina Zajac were up for grabs, and none of the incumbents ran for re-election.

Results must be certified by the county.
