Faculty Benefit Concert

Moorestown School of Music faculty members will be the featured artists in a benefit recital The Evergreens. Each instructor performing is not only a trained teacher and registered member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, but also an accomplished musician in her own right.  Performers are Laura Knightly and Jennifer Mullen, violin, Kathi Stokes, cello and Anne Jadwin, Emily Jennings, Tina Schofield and Mary Anne O’Meara, piano.  Works of the evening will include pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, Joseph-Hector Fiocco, Jules Massenet, Felix Mendelssohn, Dmitri Shostakovich and Franz Schubert.  Proceeds of this event will support faculty training.

Moorestown School of Music, a non-profit organization, is one of the few Suzuki Schools in the Greater Philadelphia area.  The Suzuki method of musical instruction was created by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki to simulate the way children all over the world learn their native language.  Parent involvement, loving encouragement, and learning by ear before learning to read music are some of the features of the method.  For more information, see .
