Join us immediately following the 10:00am worship service for a screening of the HBO film "Mary and Martha" and discussion of how we can use our voices to make a difference in the fight against malaria. All are certainly welcome to attend the worship service prior to the screening!
Film synopsis: Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Oscar nominee Brenda Blethyn star in HBO Films' MARY AND MARTHA, an epic journey of two mothers, who despite the loss of their own sons to malaria, find a way to make a difference one child at a time. With little in common, these two women - one American and the other British - meet in Africa and bond over their personal loss while struggling with their grief and strains on their marriages. Forging a deep friendship, they realize that as mothers they have a responsibility to all the world's children and dedicate themselves to the cause of malaria prevention.
