The Evergreens in Moorestown Hosts Etruscan and Early Roman Art Lecture Featuring RCBC's Janye Yantz
Art Lecture Series in Honor of Late Resident Dorothy Zaun Collins
The Evergreens, a continuing care retirement community in Moorestown, recently hosted the Dorothy Zaun Collins Art Series lecture. This year’s presentation, led by Jayne Yantz, Art Program Coordinator at Rowan College of Burlington County, focused on the art of the Etruscans and Early Romans.
The Dorothy Zaun Collins Art Series is held in honor of The Evergreens late resident, Dorothy Zaun Collins. An art enthusiast, Collins initiated and served as Chairperson of the Great Artist Series at The Evergreens – a popular lecture and discussion group that met monthly to present programs on the works of a wide range of artists. Thanks to the generosity of her husband Bill, daughters Nancy Martin and Audrey Bladt and her grandchildren who have endowed this series for members of The Evergreens community, the memory of Dorothy Zaun Collins lives on.
“It was great to have Jayne visit our campus for this special art lecture,” said Doug Halvorsen, president and CEO of The Evergreens. “This series is a wonderful way to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dorothy Zaun Collins. Both the presentation by Janye Yantz and the delicious desserts prepared by our dining services made the night one to remember.”
