Field Hockey, Soccer Teams Score Big Wins: The Week in Moorestown High School Sports

The Moorestown High School field hockey team scored two blowout wins in the last seven days, while the boys soccer team scored a win over Moorestown Friends and the girls soccer team scored a big win over Rancocas Valley.

Holy Cross 3, Moorestown 2, OT, Sept. 19: Down 2-0 at halftime, Anthony Youseff scored a pair of second half goals for Moorestown to force overtime. Mat Shaddow scored twice for Holy Cross, and Connor Reilly scored once in the win.
Moorestown 1, Moorestown Friends 0, Sept. 21: Andew DeMalo scored the game-winning goal in the first half. Goalie Noah Alfonso made eight saves for Moorestown, as did Moorestown Friends goalie Josh Murdy.

Rancocas Valley 6, Moorestown 0, Sept. 24: Six different players scored for Rancocas Valley in the win.
Girls Soccer
Holy Cross 4, Moorestown 2, Sept. 19: Holy Cross goalie Cassandra Skelton made 12 saves to help the Crusaders to the victory.
Moorestown 2, Rancocas Valley 1, Sept. 24: Quinn Nicolai scored both goals for the Quakers, in the second half. Goalie Carly Blessing made eight saves in the win.
Field Hockey
Moorestown 8, Pennsauken 1, Sept. 18: Collen Craven led the way with three goals and one assist. Ally Darmo, Julia Graham, Delaney Lawler, Susan Orth and Madison Sever each had a goal in the win.
Rancocas Valley 1, Moorestown 0, Sept. 22: Jalian Young scored the game’s only goal. Moorestown goalie Katie Stefano made five saves in the loss.
Moorestown 7, Northern Burlington 0, Sept. 24: Grace Kuszmaul and Susan Orth each scored twice in the blowout win. Delaney Lawler, Avery Powell and Roxy Vassighi also scored for the Quakers, who improved to 3-1-1 with the win.
