Fun and Success for the National Alliance on Mental Illness
Fun, Success, Mental Illness, Fundraiser,
NAMI FACE Burlington County had a fun evening at the Chick-Fil-A in Centerton Square, Mount Laurel last Wednesday. At the same time, thanks to the generosity of Chick-Fil-A and many customers, money was raised to help those with mental illness and their loved ones. The event was held during Mental Illness Awareness Week. Proceeds from food sales, and donations towards gift cards for Chick-Fil-A, together combined to make the fundraiser a success.
NAMI is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Through education, support, advocacy and public awareness programs NAMI fosters understanding about mental illness, confronts stigma often associated with mental disorders, advocates for public policies that benefit those affected by mental illness, and promotes research into the causes, treatment and recovery of mental health disorders. NAMI FACE is the NAMI NJ affiliate for Burlington County.
