Groups Granting Wishes In The Name Of Christina Grimmie

A "Wish Wall" was established at the Evesham Township Library over the weekend, nj.com reports.

The Wish Wall Foundation and Girl Talk Marlton are working to make wishes come true in the name of Christina Grimmie, the former “The Voice” contestant and Evesham Township native who was fatally shot in Florida over the summer, nj.com reports.

The groups established a “Wish Wall” at the Evesham Township Library on Saturday.

The “Wish Wall” provides people with the space to post their deepest wishes or desires.

It was initially only done online, but the first physical “Wish Wall” was established in Philadelphia last year. A street was renamed after a woman who was killed in a hit-and-run accident, and a billboard announcing a $15,000 reward was able to be erected, according to the Wish Wall Foundation's website.

On Saturday, adults and children packed the Evesham Township Library to express their wishes, which included toy airplanes, world peace and a job for their mother and father, among other wishes, according to the report.

Her brother, Marcus Grimmie, flew in for the event, and wrote “I wish you were here” on the wall, according to the report. The wall will be a permanent part of the library.

The Wish Wall Foundation will now look at those wishes and determine what can come true.

Grimmie, originally of Voorhees, competed on "The Voice" in 2014. She moved to Los Angeles in 2012.

She was remembered for her faith and humility during a candlelight vigil in her hometown a few days after the shooting.

She was laid to rest during a private funeral in Medford over the summer.
