Moorestown received a federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant to build bicycle and pedestrian improvements along the Camden Avenue corridor.

A decorative flush median treatment will also be built throughout the corridor, and sidewalks, driveways and curb ramps will be updated to meet ADA standards. Streetscape improvements include grass or decorative paver buffer strips with street tree plantings.

Proposed street calming measures include narrowed travel lanes, decorative crosswalks at intersections, raised median planters and speed monitoring signs.

The New Albany Road intersection will get an electronic pedestrian crossing sign with push buttons and a median refuge.

Sidewalk gaps will also be filled in along New Albany and a planted rain garden will be installed to capture stormwater runoff. Raised median islands with shrub plantings and pedestrian-scale light poles with attachments for banners, flags, and other decorations are also proposed.
