MFS Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students
Liam Schenk and Kendall Connolly, both of Moorestown, have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Friends School seniors Liam Schenk and Kendall Connolly, both of Moorestown, have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program, the school announced this week.
Schenk and Connolly completed the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test in October 2017, alongside 1.6 million additional U.S. students. Their status as Commended Students recognizes their placement as two of the top 50,000 scorers in the country.
Schenk is an active participant in Model UN and plays on the varsity boys soccer team. Connolly was inducted into the Cum Laude Society in May and plays on the varsity girls' field hockey team.
