Moorestown Boys, Girls Swim Teams Earn Double Byes in Playoffs

Both teams are the No. 2 seed in their playoff field.

Both the Moorestown High School boys and girls swim teams should have decided advantages over their opponents once they enter their respective playoff fields.

Each team was seeded No. 2, thus receiving a double bye into the semifinals of their eight-team fields.

The Moorestown boys earned the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group B playoffs, according to nj.com.

Its side of the bracket begins on Feb. 2 when No. 6 Brick Township hosts No. 7 Steinert. The winner of that visits No. 3 Manasquan on Feb. 5, with Moorestown hosting the winner of that meet on Feb. 8.

The championship meet at Neptune is on Feb. 12.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South is the No. 1 overall seed, and also receives a double-bye.

No. 5 Cinnaminson hosts No. 8 Brick Memorial on Feb. 2, with the winner visiting No. 4 Jackson Memorial on Feb. 5. West Windsor-Plainsboro South hosts the winner of that meet on Feb. 8.

Moorestown was 11-0 during the regular season.

The Moorestown girls earned the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group B playoffs, according to nj.com.

No. 5 Gloucester Tech hosts No. 8 Mainland on Feb. 2, with the winner visiting No. 3 Shawnee on Feb. 5. Moorestown hosts the winner of that meet on Feb. 8.

Ocean City earned the No. 1 overall seed.

Its side of the bracket begins on Feb. 2 when No. 5 Cherry Hill West hosts No. 8 Toms River South. The winner of that visits No. 4 Clearview on Feb. 5, with Ocean City hosting the winner of that meet on Feb. 8.

The championship meet at Gloucester Tech is on Feb. 11.

Moorestown was 6-4 this season.
