Moorestown High School Baseball Team Drops Season Opener

Junior catcher Ryan Gold hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, but it wasn’t enough for the Moorestown High School baseball team, which lost its season opener to Buena, 5-2, on Wednesday, according to philly.com.

Senior pitcher Jared Gold, a Coastal Carolina University signee, struck out four and allowed three runs, two earned, in four innings on the mound.

Pitcher Denny Brady, an East Carolina University recruit, struck out 11 batters and gave up three hits to pick up the win for Buena.
