Moorestown High School Wrestler Captures District Title

Three wrestlers advanced to the regional round.

Will Corbi brought a district title to the Moorestown High School Wrestling team on Saturday, according to nj.com.

Corbi captured the 126-pound title during the District 26 tournament at Holy Cross. He defeated Riverside’s Jordan Senior, 9-8, in the final match. He advanced to the final with a 10-8 win over Bordentown’s Verlensky Joachim in the semifinals. He defeated BCIT Westhampton’s Alex Maya-Romero, 14-7, in the quarterfinals.

Two other Moorestown wrestlers advanced to the regional round with second-place finishes, and the Quakers finished sixth out of 10 teams with 93 points.

Nate Dalmass fell to Cinnaminson’s Shaun Davilla, 7-2, in the 170-pound final. Dalmass advanced to the final with a pinfall victory over Delran’s Berkant Haliloglu in the semifinals. He scored the fall in 4:32. Dalmass pinned Burlington City’s Adam Goonan in 2:48 in the quarterfinals.

Max Rohan advanced to the 120-pound final, where he lost to Delran’s Brian Miraglia, 5-4. In the semifinals, he defeated Cinnaminson’s Kevin Schoch by major decision.
