Brave the autumn chill on foot and explore our haunted history. Our immersive walking tours will run on the nights of October 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th, and 30th. As twilight thins the veil between worlds, you’ll cross paths with the ghoulish spirits of Revolutionary War soldiers, pioneering suffragists, and colonial villagers calling out from beneath the fallen leaves.

NOTE: Harriet Tubman, portrayed by Dr. Daisy Century, returns to Moorestown for the October 16, 17, and 24th walking tours!
ANOTHER NOTE: On October 23rd and 24th the Walking Tours will recognize a chilling anniversary. On this very week in history, Moorestown’s own Alice Paul was sentenced to a frighteningly grim jail Workhouse — a fateful moment that triggered the infamous and brutal “Night of Terror.” Tonight, to mark this exact historical turning point, the two Walking Tours will tear open the veil between 1917 and the present.
PLEASE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES EARLY in order to tour the haunted Smith-Cadbury Mansion and enjoy refreshments on the back patio before the start of each walking tour. The walking tours will begin and end at Smith-Cadbury Mansion, 12 High Street in Moorestown. Walking tours take place rain or shine! Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring flashlights for your group.

All Aboard the Phantom Express: Moorestown’s Ghost Trolley Rides Again! October 9th sold out so quickly, we had to bring the trolley back for an encore… on Halloween night!
For the second time since 1928, the heavy rumble of trolley wheels will echo down Main Street as the Historical Society of Moorestown resurrects a century-old ride for its acclaimed autumn ghost tours. This year’s lantern-lit excursions blend deeply researched regional history with chilling paranormal lore.
Venturing to the spookiest corners of town too far to reach on foot, the trolley will roll past the 1770 Truxtun House and the shadowy 1742 Cowperthwaite House. Real history is terrifying, and some of these haunting stories have never been told before! As twilight falls over Kings Highway, the veil between worlds thins. Join us for an unforgettable journey where colonial spirits whisper from old brick walls, Revolutionary soldiers march under the moonlight, and voices from centuries past call out from beneath autumn leaves. Passengers will also receive exclusive access to the notoriously haunted Smith-Cadbury Mansion, a famously documented hotspot for spectral activity!
Two trolley tours: 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
$45 General Admission and $40 for Members
Tour attendees should plan on arriving at Smith-Cadbury Mansion 30 minutes early for cider & snacks on the back porch.
