Moorestown Man Named President Of Prestigious Public Relations Firm
Adam Dvorin has been named president of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA).

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A Moorestown man has been named president of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA), the premier organization for communications professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Rowan University graduate Adam Dvorin is media director at the New Jersey public relations firm Winning Strategies. He was named president during the induction of the PPRA’s Board of Governors for the 2017-18 program year. Additionally, PPRA recognized two rising PR talents at its recent annual meeting at the Museum of the American Revolution.
Christanna Ciabattoni, a senior account executive at Skai Blue Media, was named the 2017 Presidential Fast Track Award Recipient, according to PPRA. She is a graduate of Temple University. Marissa Reale, a senior strategic communications major at Temple University, was named 2017 Dr. Jean Brodey Student Achievement Award recipient. Reale is a native of Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

Other newly-inducted members of the board included:
- Nina Scimenes was inducted as President-Elect, meaning she will assume the presidency for the 2018-2019 program year. Scimenes is communications and marketing manager of Brûlée Catering by Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix. She is a native of Randolph, New Jersey.
- Hope Corse was named Vice President of External Affairs. Corse is the Director of External Relations at the Chemical Heritage Foundation. She is a native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She is a graduate of Temple University.
- Deirdre Childress Hopkins was elected Vice President of Programming. Hopkins serves as Strategic Communications Manager of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Hopkins graduated from Colgate University. She is a resident of Townsend, Delaware.
- Jaime Martorana joins the board as Vice President of Membership. A graduate of Temple University, Martorana is a marketing and communications specialist at Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site.
- Bill Wedo will be serving as Vice President of Communications. Wedo is communications manager at Studio Incamminati, School for Contemporary Realist Art. He has a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University and master’s degrees from Temple University and West Chester University.
- Anthony Stipa was appointed Board Treasurer. Stipa is a Marketing Communications Associate at Safeguard Scientifics. He is a Temple University graduate.
- Kellsey Turner was named Board Secretary. A graduate of La Salle University, Turner is an account executive at Vault Communications in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
- Ashley Berke assumes the post of Chairperson (immediate past president). Berke, a graduate of Cornell University, was recently named vice president of communications for the Philadelphia Orchestra. She resides in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.

- Gary Bramnick, director of marketing and public relations at Inglis in Philadelphia. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a master’s from Drexel University.
- Darrah Foster, a senior associate at Anne Klein Communications Group in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Foster is a graduate of Rowan University and a resident of Glassboro, New Jersey.
- Sarah Maiellano, the assistant director of communications at the Philly POPS. She is a graduate of George Washington University. A native of Northeast Philadelphia, she now lives in Center City.
Serving as past presidential advisors are:
- Meredith Z. Avakian-Hardaway, director of communications and marketing at the Philadelphia Bar Association. Avakian-Hardaway is a graduate of Temple University.
- Dr. Bill Cowen, president of Metrospective Communications in Philadelphia and also a professor and director of the public relations program at Villanova University. Dr. Cowen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Rowan University and a doctorate from the University of New England.
- Christopher Lukach, APR, president of Anne Klein Communications Group in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Lukach is a graduate of Rowan University and a resident of Woodbury, New Jersey.
