Moorestown Council unanimously approved a resolution to enter into a hold harmless agreement to permit the use of a township facility for coronavirus testing at its meeting Monday night.

Discussions with the other company, which has not been named, were ongoing, Gillespie said Tuesday morning. That proposal would see testing take place out of a mobile van.

Moorestown already has two testing sites, including one at the Virtua Urgent Care on Young Avenue. That one tests 150 people a day, and is not close to capacity, Gillespie said.
The other is a rapid testing site behind the Moorestown Mall that returns results in 15 minutes and charges $75.
The township is also home to one of the state’s vaccination “mega-sites,” which could accommodate up to 2,400 people a day if there were enough vaccines available. Read more here: Murphy Tours Moorestown Vaccine ‘Megasite,’ Singleton Gets Vaccinated
