Moorestown Officials Decry KKK Flyers Found In Town

Township officials said the people are "united in a spirit of community as Moorestonians" regardless of race, political party, and more.

Moorestown Township officials released a statement strongly condemning the Klu Klux Klan flyers found in Moorestown and neighboring municipalities.

The statement comes from Mayor Manny Delgado, Deputy Mayor Stacey Jordan, Councilwoman Victoria Napolitano, Councilwoman Lisa Petriello and Councilman Mike Locatell.

"It has come to our attention that fliers in support of a hate group have appeared here in
Moorestown and in neighboring communities," the statement reads. "As your Town Council, we wanted to state firmly and definitively that there is no place for such hate and intolerance in our community. Moorestown is a wonderful place to live in part because of our diversity."

The flyers featured homophobic and racist messaging, as well as contact information for a KKK group, and were found in Moorestown and Cinnaminson this weekend.

"Though we come from various backgrounds, religions, races, sexual orientations, political affiliations, and walks of life, we are bound by our common experiences and are united in a spirit of community as
Moorestonians," the statement reads. "We condemn these negative and hateful messages, and urge our residents to continue living their lives with the sense of unity, kindness, and compassion that make our town
the best place to live in America."
