Moorestown Recycling To See Delays Due To Coronavirus Pandemic
Many county employees are in quarantine, leaving them shorthanded and unlikely to finish recycling pickup on Wednesday.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Recycling pickup will likely be delayed in Moorestown amid the coronavirus pandemic, township officials announced Wednesday morning.
“The County Recycling Center has informed the Township of Moorestown that they do not believe they will be able to complete Moorestown’s Recycling collection today,” officials said in a statement on the township’s website. “Many of their employees are in quarantine leaving them shorthanded. They have asked the Township of Moorestown to advise residents who have not had their recycling collected today, to leave their recycling at the curb for Friday pickup.”
Collection was set to continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday night. Anyone who didn’t want to leave their cans outside on Thanksgiving can put them back out late Thursday night or early Friday morning, when pickup is expected to resume.
