BARBARA OMERT
While Barbara and her husband, Ed, have lived in Moorestown for 23 years, her connection to Moorestown began over 50 years ago as a student at Our Lady of Good Counsel, where she is still a parishioner. Barbara was the third generation to own and run her family’s small business, and later worked in accounting and tax preparation.
She has served on the Board of Friends of MEND, Inc., and has been an active participant in the efforts of The Moorestown Community House, Oaks Integrated Care, and Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice of South Jersey. Barbara is a huge animal lover, having been a founding member of the West Highland White Terrier Association of America and supporting the efforts of the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
She has been a longtime supporter of organizations such as the Historical Society of Moorestown, the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Mercer & Burlington Counties, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
DOUG MAUTE
A lifelong South Jersey resident, Doug and his wife, Sarah, chose Moorestown 8 years ago as the perfect place to raise their three young children. A nationally recognized attorney, Doug first made partner at the age of 36 and was named to the 2020 New Jersey Rising Stars list. Before practicing law, he worked at a small landscape architecture firm where he helped design Moorestown’s Boundary Creek Park.
Doug has served our community as Chairman of the Planning Board and Secretary of Sustainable Moorestown. He helped found the Mary E. Roberts School Green Team, where he secured a grant to launch the school’s No Food Left Behind food waste reduction program, and worked with the Moorestown Police Department to create our Township’s first Safe Exchange Zone for online transactions.
Doug is currently serving as the President of the State Society for Health Care Risk Managers of New Jersey, is a Team Captain for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Moorestown, and is active with the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee.
VICK BOBADILLA
Born in Peru, Vick has been blessed to live the American Dream. As a boy, Vick moved to the United States with his parents and watched as they worked hard to create a better life for their family. This work ethic and drive was instilled in Vick from a young age and is what gave him the motivation and perseverance to start a small business of his own and build a happy and successful life for his own family.
Eighteen years ago, Vick and his late wife, Shari, moved to Moorestown to give their four children the best education and the experience of a small town life. He has spent numerous hours in town coaching flag football, street hockey, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and basketball. He is a trained volunteer with the New Jersey Mass Care Emergency Response Team that assists with sheltering, feeding, family reunification, and distribution of emergency supplies in times of crisis.
Currently a member of the Moorestown Rotary Club, Vick is a proud volunteer with Moorestown High School Project Graduation and the Boys and Girls Club.
