Moorestown Residents Deliver 100 Pizzas To Virtua Doctors, Nurses
Three Moorestown residents got together and delivered 100 pizzas to Virtua doctors and nurses battling new coronavirus.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Three Moorestown residents delivered 100 pizzas to the doctors and nurses at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly on Friday.
Realtor Sam Lepore, Dr. James Sanfilippo and Vincenzo Balsamo, who owns Vincenzo’s Pizza and Grill in Willingboro, teamed up to deliver the pizzas to the hospital. The pizzas fed more than 500 doctors and nurses.
“I wanted to find a way to help the real heroes (healthcare workers) in all of this,” Lepore said. “ I called Dr. Sanfilippo and he had a contact at the hospital, and then I called Vincenzo Balsamo who owns the pizza shop. He loved the idea.”
