Moorestown School District To Discuss Funding At Community Forum
The Fair Funding Action Committee will make a presentation during the Feb. 25 forum at William Allen Middle School.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Public School District will address questions about how the school district is funded during a forum later this month.
The district’s “Funding the Future” forum will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the media center at William Allen Middle School.
The Fair Funding Action Committee will give a presentation, and those in attendance will have the chance to ask questions. Topics will include:

- What steps have we taken to address our budget gaps?
- What steps can we take to advocate for better funding?

Earlier this week, Superintendent of Schools Scott McCartney told Patch the district is deliberating the next step as far as upgrades are concerned. There are no immediate plans to follow up on the referendum, he said.

Last year, the district received $3,772,135 in state aid, an increase of $196,768 over the previous year. No announcement has been made about state aid for schools yet this year. To RSVP to the forum, fill out this form.
