Moorestown Sets Guidelines For Events Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
Moorestown Council has set guidelines for organizations to follow when staging events in the township this year.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council has set guidelines for organizations to follow when staging events in the township this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
After receiving multiple questions from local organizations, council unanimously approved a consent agenda resolution Monday night putting in place guidelines for all organizations to follow when holding events on township property this year.
Organizations must ensure compliance with any and all Executive Orders in place on the day of the event, including but not limited to:

- controlling the number of people, including the organizers and vendors, permitted to attend;
- ensuring that social distancing is maintained at all times; and
- ensuring that all attendees wear a facial mask or covering.
They may also be required to submit an operations plan that shows how they will comply to Moorestown police for approval.
They will still also have to obtain any and all other permits required by the township or other agencies to hold an event.

Last year, events that were canceled included the Lions Club's annual holiday parade, the Halloween parade, and the paddleboard/kayak races, among other events.

As of Thursday, there have been 1,194 positive cases of the coronavirus and 75 coronavirus-related deaths in Moorestown since the pandemic began.
In all, 30,342 Burlington County residents have tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began. There have been 695 confirmed deaths and 68 probable deaths.
