Moorestown Tops South Jersey Magazine's List of Top Towns

Moorestown, NJ -- Moorestown is at the top of the heap in South Jersey.

The township was voted the Top Town for 2016 by South Jersey Magazine in its May issue.

Moorestown is No. 1 based on a “stellar school system, a thriving arts and culture scene, a reinvigorated dining scene thanks to the revival of the Moorestown Mall and being home to big name businesses like Lockheed Martin.”

To determine its rankings, South Jersey Magazine uses a formula that takes into account combined average property value and taxes, crime incidents reported per 1,000 residents, and high school performance.

Moorestown was No. 1 in the large towns rankings, which takes into account towns with more than 10,000 people.

Medford and Evesham are also in the top 10, and there are a total of 11 Burlington County towns in the top 25.
