Moorestown's 7U Baseball Team Wins Home Tournament

Moorestown's 7U baseball team won their division in the Moorestown Invitational Tournament.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — “Effort, Heart & Hustle” was the theme for the Moorestown 7-U baseball team as they secured the title in the Moorestown Invitational Tournament last weekend. Dominating their opponents, the championship game ended in only five innings with a 13-4 win over Mount Laurel.

Bats were on fire across the offensive lineup, driving in a total of 31 runs throughout the tournament. Defensively, the team achieved several shutout innings, including impressive plays by Brennan Pica and diving catches by Alex Gerber and Michael Schaffer.

Taking home MVP honors were Jake Eckert, Mitchell Gill, Brennan Pica, Michael Schaffer and Liam Suydam. Coach Adam Gerber and his team are looking forward to making their presence known at the Sacred Heart Crazy Eights tournament scheduled for June 23-25.
