Moving On

Less than a year ago I had no idea what Patch was. But when I heard about it and found out there would be one in Moorestown, I knew I had to have the job. Somehow all the stars aligned and last November I began working for Patch as the Moorestown Editor. I was incredibly excited to be part of this new venture. I knew that if any town would love Patch, it would be Moorestown.

I loved getting back out into the community; talking to residents, councilmen (and woman), board members, teachers, police, firemen, business owners, volunteers – all the people that make Moorestown Moorestown.

Moorestown Patch has grown tremendously since the site launched in December. People who have been on the journey since the beginning can’t believe there are people who still don’t know about Patch. But it is catching on and more readers visit every day.

When I started nearly seven months ago, I saw a long career covering Moorestown. But then life happens.

I have been given another incredible opportunity to work for the Star-News in Wilmington, NC.

I feel fortunate to have covered Moorestown for these six months. I will miss the discussions I had with people throughout the township about all that has been going on: the Municipal Complex (I’m sorry I’ll miss Town Hall being knocked down), the teachers’ contract, the K.I.D.S. Initiative and the Open Space debate. I will especially miss the sense of community and pride I felt and saw during the Fullerton Park rebuild.
