No Snow Day From Remote Learning In Moorestown, District Says

A snow storm on Wednesday won't stop learning in Moorestown this time, but that doesn't mean there will be no snow days this year.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — An already unusual school year could become even more unusual later this week, and it's not a change Moorestown school students will embrace.

The first snowfall of the year appears set to hit the region on Wednesday, but with schools under a full-remote learning environment, students in the Moorestown Public School District shouldn’t expect to get a phone call telling them school is canceled. This time.

“While students are in full-remote, a snow day will remain a virtual learning day for students. The only difference is those that report to a facility would shift to learning or working from home,” Moorestown Superintendent of Schools Scott McCartney said on Monday. “We have not determined what that a snow day may look like when we return to in-person hybrid learning. The potential exists that we could utilize a remote day to continue instruction but there are numerous details to consider with that option.”
