Playoffs Begin For Moorestown Basketball Teams Next Week
The boys play their first game at home, and the girls hit the road. Moorestown Friends will host Doane Academy.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Both the Moorestown High School boys and girls basketball teams, as well as the Moorestown Friends School girls basketball team, begin their quests for championships next week, according to brackets posted on nj.com.
The Moorestown High School boys, the No. 5 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 tournament, host No. 12 Wall in the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 6 p.m.
The Moorestown High School girls, the No. 9 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 tournament, hit the road to face No. 8 Nottingham in the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4 p.m.

The boys were 18-6 as of Wednesday afternoon, ahead of a game at Holy Cross. Their regular season finale is Friday evening at Moorestown Friends, 5:30 p.m.

The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 4 Westampton Tech and No. 13 Pennsauken in the quarterfinals on March 2. The semifinals are set for March 4, and the championship game is scheduled for March 7. Ewing is the No. 1 overall seed.
The girls were 14-8 as of Wednesday afternoon, ahead of a game at home against Holy Cross. Their regular season finale is Friday evening at home against Moorestown Friends, 5:30 p.m.

Moorestown Friends is 18-4 this season, and opened the year with a 49-22 win over Doane (13-8).
The winner of this game faces the winner of the game between No. 4 Holy Spirit and No. 13 Mater Dei in the quarterfinals on March 3. The semifinals are scheduled for March 6, and the championship game is set for March 8. Patrick School is the No. 1 overall seed.
