Police Arrest NYC Man for Fraud

A New York City man was arrested at the Moorestown Mall after Moorestown Police received a report of a credit fraud in progress at 7:45 p.m. June 7.

Mohamed Korma, 25, was arrested after a foot pursuit in the Macy’s store at the Mall.

Korma had fraudulently applied for credit at Sears, using information of an identity theft victim, and purchased $5,400 worth of merchandise. It was subsequently determined that Korma was in possession of merchandise valued in excess of $5,000 that had been fraudulently purchased at Macy’s in the Cherry Hill Mall.

Korma was charged with theft by deception, forgery, ID theft and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $175,000 bail.
