Police Blotter: May 16-26

A resident of Lippincott Avenue reported at 2:27 p.m. May 26 a gray older model four-door vehicle had been in front of their house for more than an hour. The car was occupied by a female but left before police arrived. Patrols checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

A resident of Revere Avenue reported a suspicious male asking to see a utility bill at 3:31 p.m. May 26. Police located and identified the man, who was warned about the township’s ordinance for soliciting.

A resident of Canterbury Court reported a suspicious male in a gray mini van at 3:45 p.m. May 25. The man asked the resident what time the bus arrived. The vehicle left before police arrived. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the subject.

Several residents of Iron Post Road reported that between May 21 and 22, their mailboxes and posts were stolen.

A resident of Autumn Drive reported at 10:19 p.m. May 21 that when they arrived home, a male was observed running from the back of the house into the woods. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

A resident of South Hedgeman Road reported at 1:27 p.m. May 20 that a man came to the front door inquiring about a vehicle for sale. The resident did not have a vehicle for sale. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

A resident of Apple Orchard Road heard someone knock on the front door at 11:28 p.m. May 20. When the resident opened the door, fishing line had been tied to the doorknocker. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone.

On May 19, a resident of East Maple Avenue reported the theft of a bicycle between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 19.

At 8:54 a.m. May 16, a full-sized blue van with Ohio registration was reported parked at the First United Methodist Church for an extended period of time. A man occupied the van in his 40s. The man and the van left prior to the police arriving. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
