Police Blotter: May 5-15

At approximately 12:03 a.m. May 15, a Highland Avenue resident reported a clear fishing line had been tied around a utility pole, stretched across the street and tied to a tree. Patrols checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

At 1:19 p.m. May 14, police received a report of a suspicious, older white male wearing a flannel shirt and jeans, and possibly intoxicated, at Jeff Young Park. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

A resident of Windermere Drive reported, at 8:18 p.m. May that a white male in his 40s had knocked on the front door. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

Thirty pieces of aluminum pipe were reported stolen from township property on Creek Road at 11:16 a.m. May 6.

A male wearing black pants and a black hoodie was reported running through backyards on Stratford Drive at 2:12 p.m. May 6. A green minivan was also seen in the area. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

A resident of Forest Road reported a large male wearing dark blue baggy pants was at her front door at 11:09 a.m. May 5. The man was reported seen walking toward Springhouse Lane. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the subject.

The Moorestown Police reports that neighboring townships have been experiencing an increased number of daytime burglaries. Officers have been patrolling residential areas more aggressively. The police department is asking for residents to report suspicious people or vehicles to the police immediately.
